ABOUT PSECE

  • PSECE is the biggest annual industry event produced and organized by SEIPI, the leading organization of more than 200 electronics firms and supply chain companies in the Philippines.
  • PSECE is the Philippine electronics industry’s premier business platform where industry leaders, top middle management, industry professionals from the semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, and support industries convene to discuss issues, future directions and matters of strategic importance to sustain the competitiveness of the industry.
  • PSECE’s Exhibition features a wide range of products and services, including semiconductor, computer related products, consumer electronics, communications and radar, automotive electronics, solar, office equipment, telecommunications, control and instruments, medical, industrial, and support industries such as fabrication, tooling, equipment, and more.

THE EVENT

On its 17th year, the Philippine Semiconductor & Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE 2019) the biggest event in the industry, will once again serve as a vehicle for the industry key players to meet in one common venue.

The event will be held on June 3 (Wed) – June 5, 2020 (Fri) at the SMX Convention Center. In 2019, SEIPI’s PSECE accounted of the following successes:

  • 193 participating local and foreign companies
  • 1,592 convention delegates
  • 10,386 trade exhibitors, visitors, and buyers

Also showcased were four International Pavilions: Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, and China, alongside more than 300 advanced technology compnaies.

THE VENUE

The PSECE is held annually at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines. The event  utilizes its 4 exhibition halls, 2 function rooms, and 10 meeting rooms.

These spaces add up to approximately 17,480 square meters and can comfortably accommodate up to 18,000 convention and exhibition participants.

THE ORGANIZERS

SEIPI is the leading organization of multinational and Filipino-owned semiconductor and electronics companies in the Philippines with 343 members, including manufacturing firms, allied and support industries, and the academe.

The Philippine semiconductor and electronics industry is a significant driver of the Philippine economy and the largest contributor to the country’s manufacturing sector. in 2018, the industry accounted for US$37.6 billion or 56% of the country’s total exports, employing 3.2 million direct and indirect workers

OBJECTIVES

  • Promote the technical capabilities of semiconductor and electronics companies in the Philippines by showcasing it to local and international audience through exhibition and technical papers.
  • Intensify awareness on the presence and contribution of the Philippine Electronics Industry to the economy.
  • Create a platform for manufacturing companies and potential suppliers to meet and consult through business matching, exhibitor’s presentation and reverse trade fair.
  • Deepen the partnership between the government, academe, and the industry through series of talks and updates during the plenary session.

THE CONVENTION

The convention is a congregation of industry champions and innovators from the semiconductor, electronics, and manufacturing industries.

It comprises of a three-day themed forum, multiple breakout sessions that appeal to specific functional areas of the electronics industry professionals, and the only annual industry-focused technical symposium featuring the top 50 technical research breakthrough papers from over 100 entries.

THE EXHIBIT

The EXHIBITION is a showcase of the industry’s high tech capabilities and installed capacities, with over 300 exhibitors occupying the SMX Convention Center from local and international companies.

The exhibition features technical presentation programs which is a perfect marketing platform for exhibitors to showcase product launches, product demonstrations, and preview of their technological innovations and developments.

Business Matching also offers a highly individualized opportunity for exhibitors to meet potential customers, suppliers, and partners among the 300+ semiconductor and electronics companies and suppliers that are members of SEIPI.

The Reserve Trade Fair Program is a showcase of SEIPI member-companies supply requirement for parts, equipment, raw materials, and services they intend to procure/impart from potential semiconductor and electronics vendors.
