PHILIPPINE ELECTRONICS EXPORT PERFORMANCE JANUARY 2026

 

Electronics exports declined by 1.06% in January 2026 to US$ 4.30 billion, which is 60.57% of the US$ 7.09 billion total Philippine exports.

 

 A.  PH Electronics Exports: (Month-on-Month)

Electronics exports contracted by 1.06% from US$ 4.34 billion in December 2025 to US$ 4.30 billion in January 2026, as shown in Fig. 1.

 

Exports in five (5) sectors shrunk as shown in Table 2. It was led by Medical/Industrial Instrumentation at 47.78%, from US$ 76.59 million to US$ 39.99 million, followed by Automotive Electronics (17.07%), Electronic Data Processing (14.42%), Control and Instrumentation (11.68%), and Semiconductor Components/Devices (1.50%).

 

Communication/Radar climbed by 294.57%, from US$ 13.88 million to US$ 54.78 million. This was followed by Telecommunication (130.80%), Office Equipment (20.02%), and Consumer Electronics (2.80%).

B. PH Electronics Exports: (Year-on-Year)

The Philippine Electronics exports improved by 16.90%, from US$ 3.68 billion in January 2025 to US$ 4.30 billion in January 2026, as shown in Fig. 2. 

 

Exports in five (5) sectors grew, led by Telecommunication at 77.28%, from US$ 71.35 million to US$ 126.49 million. It was followed by Consumer Electronics (67.15%), Semiconductor Components/Devices (21.64%), Communication/Radar (19.72%), and Control and Instrumentation (14.52%). Kindly refer to Table 2.

 

Meanwhile, Medical/Industrial Instrumentation decreased by 13.35%, from US$ 46.15 million to US$ 39.99 million. It was followed by Electronic Data Processing (8.69%), Office Equipment (7.29%), and Automotive Electronics (4.62%).

COUNTRIES OF DESTINATION (JANUARY 2026)

Table 1 shows the top five (5) export destinations in January 2026, namely, Hong Kong (16.57%), the USA (15.80%), China (9.11%), Germany (6.80%), and Taiwan (6.80%).

The other destinations in the top ten were Singapore (5.58%), Japan (5.36%), Malaysia (4.06%), Thailand (3.98%), and South Korea (3.43%).

The top exported electronics products in January 2026 are in Fig. 3. Multi-component Integrated Circuits (MCO) grew by 18.93%. Meanwhile, Parts and accessories of data processing machines under Electronic Data Processing declined by 25.27%.See Table 3.
