BACKGROUND
The
Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines,
Inc. (SEIPI) is the leading and largest organization of foreign
and local semiconductor and electronics companies in the Philippines.
Electronics is
acknowledged as the main driver of the Philippine economy
as it accounts for 70 percent of the country's total exports.
With our member companies responsible for over 80% of total
electronics exports, this unequivocally makes SEIPI a major
economic force in the Philippines.
VISION
Our
vision is to transform the Philippines into a regional centr
of excellence in selected electronics industry products and
processes and thus become the investment location of choice
for those who wish to design, make and seel their products.
MISSION
To
enhance the competitive environment for electronics business
to grow in the Philippines and drive the Philippines towards
global leadership in information and communication technology.
OBJECTIVES
With
this in mind, SEIPI's key objectives are:
GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS - To enhance the
global competitiveness of the industry by improving the technical
core competencies of its members through the development of
learning and capacity building programs.
ADVOCACY - To advocate policy
issues and concerns affecting the members of the industry
by taking an active role in public policy leadership and representing
its members in various fora, dialogues and meetings with government
and other concerned institutions.
INFORMATION - To be a definitive source of industry information
by providing the members and the public with relevant and
up to date statistics, data, reports and other pertinent materials.
NETWORKING - To encourage networking
and sharing of information among members and establish linkage
with other organizations in the Philippines and abroad by
organizing and participating in various business and industry
meetings, conferences, fellowships and events.
SERVCIES - To provide relevant corporate
support to members by carrying out various professional business
and consultancy services addressing the needs and other requirements
of SEIPI members.
